Forest disturbance in a changing world

RESIN at the FWF Roadshow

The project was presented at the FWF Roadshow at the Vienna University of Economics and Business on December 12, 2017.

On December 12, the Austrian Science Fund FWF held a roadshow jointly organized by the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the University of Veterinary Medicine, and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. The event discussed the current state of funding for basic research in Austria, and presented the ideas of FWF for supporting future research in Austria. To highlight the breadth and depth of research funded by FWF, nine projects were presented by their respective PIs. RESIN was among these projects, and Rupert Seidl presented the project idea and the current state of the project to FWF president Tockner and the audience. The event highlighted the central role of FWF for fundamental research in Austria, and encouraged a new generation of potential PIs to submit their ideas to FWF.
